An attempt to rescue our previous year's efforts and produce something decent. The CD was pretty shoddy compared to how we were sounding at the time. This version was tinkered with on a shareware sequencer program, adding the samples omitted from the original, as well as editing out as many mistakes as possible (such as Jim's disastrous spluttering to a halt in the middle of Hard Return while the rest of the band play on regardless). Some mistakes could not be rectified... Mitch still clearly says "Whoops" during Lucretia! A shorter version of Hard Return was also included, leaner & fitter than the overweight original, and closer to how we now perform it live. The sample, taken from Negativland's "Escape From Noise" album, stated "This cut has been analytically designed to break on radio, and it will, sooner or later," a prophesy that was spookily fulfilled when our friend Professor B downloaded the track via Napster and passed it on to WKLQ. Once again, this has never been made commercially available.
